Exodus 25:17-18 And thou shalt make a mercy seat of pure gold: two cubits and a half shall be the length thereof, and a cubit and a half the breadth thereof. And thou shalt make two cherubims of gold, of beaten work shalt thou make them, in the two ends of the mercy seat.
Gold in Biblical typology represents the Divine Nature or the Divine Life – and its attributes.
So, building with gold denotes doing works that emanate from God and not from yourself. God is not pleased irrespective of how nice and good what you are doing is, if its source is not Him.
This is where you find the difference between ‘good deeds’ and ‘God deeds’.
“But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags” – Isaiah 64:6a
Understand this,
Man in himself and at his best cannot please God – no matter how hard he tries. God’s standards are so high and His requirements so holy, that not even a single one of us can meet it. That’s why MAN NEEDS GOD TO PLEASE GOD.
Build with gold. Let God be the source of your good works – and not your own self or others. Be blessed. HALLELUJAH!
GRACEFUL MORNING
