Romans 3:24-25 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God.
For those who still insist that confession of sins is needed to attain forgiveness(contrary to what the scriptures have shown us), I tell them:
IF YOU ARE GOING TO CONFESS SINS, THEN MAKE SURE YOU DON’T MISS ONE. Go ahead and confess everything. For in the law, when you miss one, then you are guilty of all.
For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it. (James 2:10)
Can you possibly keep track of every evil thought you have conceived, and every wrong deed you have done? Can you confess every time you think or do wrong; not forgetting the sins of omission – the things you are supposed to do that you don’t do? The Bible says let no idle word proceed from your lips; Can you track that? Let’s be honest with ourselves, YOU CAN’T. And please don’t tell me you will do a general confession – go and tell that to the priest in the confession booth and he will show you how non-serious you are. The truth is, YOU CANNOT POSSIBLY KEEP TRACK AND CONFESS ALL YOUR SINS POST SALVATION.
God knows you can’t uphold the law, that’s why He sent Jesus.
Jesus became the PROPITIATION/FULL PAYMENT for our sins. He’s not now going to do this – HE HAS ALREADY DONE IT AND FORGIVEN YOU ETERNALLY WHEN YOU BELIEVED. Just accept that and enjoy His Grace. Stop striving to attain God’s acceptance – FOR YOU ARE ALREADY ACCEPTED IN THE BELOVED. Hallelujah! YOU ARE BLESSED!
GRACEFUL MORNING
