Romans 3:21‭-‬22 But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference;

2 Corinthians 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

What would you say when you hear someone praying and saying, “Dear Lord, please send Jesus to come and die for our sins”. You would wonder which world this person is in, because God already sent Jesus, and He already died for our sins. Right?

That’s how absurd some of our prayers are. We might be all emotional and teary with it, but it makes no difference. The thing has already been given by God, and there is no point in crying about it; rather you should seek to grow in knowledge and understanding concerning what you have so you can put it to good use.

The other day, I heard a group of church people praying that the Lord will grant them the spirit of righteousness and make them righteous. I wondered to myself, what other righteousness they were looking for. For in Romans 3:22, the scriptures have said,

” Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe”

ALL WHO BELIEVE IN JESUS HAVE RECEIVED THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD. This doesn’t need extra prayer. That is why Christ is the end of the law of righteousness to everyone that believes (Romans 10:4).

So you see, it doesn’t matter how loud your prayer for righteousness is, God is not going to answer that. Because he already did. BELOVED, GROW IN KNOWLEDGE CONCERNING YOUR RIGHTS AND INHERITANCE IN CHRIST – this will save you from unnecessary troubles and waste of time. Hallelujah! Be blessed!
