Deuteronomy 26:18-19 Also today the Lord has proclaimed you to be His special people, just as He promised you, that you should keep all His commandments, and that He will set you high above all nations which He has made, in praise, in name, and in honor, and that you may be a holy people to the Lord your God, just as He has spoken.
Let me tell you the story of the Eagle raised among chickens.
Once upon a time, in a quaint little village nestled between lush green hills, there lived a farmer named John. John was known for his kindness and love for animals. One day, while strolling through his farm, he stumbled upon a nest with an egg that looked like that of a chicken but it was an eagle’s egg. Having a brood of chickens at home, he decided to take it along and add it to the chicken eggs.
As the days passed, the eggs began to crack one by one, and out popped little chicks. However, among the fluffy yellow chicks, there was one peculiar creature. It had striking black and white feathers, sharp talons, and keen, intelligent eyes. It was not a chick; it was a baby eagle!
John was puzzled by the presence of the young eagle, but he couldn’t bear to leave it alone or let it perish. With a heart full of compassion, he decided to raise the baby eagle alongside the chicks as if it were one of their own. The eaglet spent all its early days and weeks living like a chicken, eating like a chicken and doing what the chickens did.
From time to time while they all are pecking at seeds and insects on the ground, the eagle would often gaze up at the sky with longing. It seemed as if it yearned to fly among the clouds and feel the wind beneath its wings. The other chickens didn’t understand the eagle’s behavior. They would mockingly cluck at it, saying, “Why do you waste your time looking at the sky? You’re just a chicken like us! Focus on finding food and staying safe.” But the Eagle couldn’t shake the feeling that it was destined for something greater.
One day, as the little eaglet watched a group of wild eagles gliding gracefully overhead, a sense of determination surged within it. It decided that it would no longer live as a chicken, confined to the ground. It knew it had to embrace its true identity and follow its heart. With newfound courage, the young eagle spread its wings and took a leap from a high branch and after a few tries, lo and behold, it was flying.
YOU ARE THAT EAGLE WITH GOD-LIKE ABILITIES AND POTENTIALITIES. WOULD YOU REMAIN CONFINED TO THE GROUND LIKE A CHICKEN OR WOULD YOU EMBRACE YOUR TRUE IDENTITY AND BECOME WHO YOU ARE IN CHRIST. What is it going to be? Selah!
GRACEFUL MORNING
