Luke 15:4-6 “What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he loses one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness, and go after the one which is lost until he finds it? And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing. And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost!’
The heart of the Shepherd reflects the heart of God, in that it chases after the lost. It leaves the ninety-nine and goes after the lost one. The iniquity of the straying sheep falls on the shepherd, so he goes all out to search and look for them.
What is your disposition towards the lost? Do you ever care or you care less? Do you ever pray for the lost or that’s not your problem? IF YOU EVER FEEL GOD’S COMPASSION IN YOUR HEART, YOU WILL HEAR IT CRYING FOR THE LOST, AND YOU WILL RESPOND.
‘For thus says the Lord God : “Indeed I Myself will search for My sheep and seek them out. As a shepherd seeks out his flock on the day he is among his scattered sheep, so will I seek out My sheep and deliver them from all the places where they were scattered on a cloudy and dark day.(Ezekiel 34:11-12)
We have received insults, abuses and threats, but that won’t stop us. What didn’t Jesus suffer when He came to seek us? When we were lost and dead in our sins and trespasses Christ died for us; he went through the insults, and stripes, and slaps, and the cross, and the grave to get to us. So we also do same for others – we press on and don’t give up. THE HEART OF A TRUE SHEPHERD NEVER GIVES UP ON THE FLOCK NO MATTER HOW FAR THEY HAVE GONE. We keep praying for them; we keep following up on them; and I tell you assuredly, THEY WILL COME HOME. Praise God Forevermore!
GRACEFUL MORNING
