Romans 6:3-4 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

Something dramatic happened the day you received Christ into you.

During your water baptism, you were dipped into water and brought out of it. This is to give you a physical illustration of an actual and real happening in the realm of the spirit. Your spirit became united with the the spirit of Christ so that you died and were buried just as Jesus did. Then you were brought out of the dead with Him.

Now this is where it gets very interesting – don’t miss it. After your death, you were raised with Christ with a new life. The Bible calls it THE NEWNESS OF LIFE. “Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in NEWNESS OF LIFE.” (Romans 6:4, KJV)

You were raised up in the likeness of his resurrection. Meaning, YOU CAME OUT WITH THE SAME LIFE THAT JESUS WAS RAISED WITH . Your old life died. A new you is born – and this new you has got GOD’S ETERNAL LIFE driving it. You are God’s Man. YOU ARE NOW GOD’S BEGOTTEN SON. Glory to God!
