John 9:1-3 And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth. And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind? Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.
Make a careful read of the passage above again. Was it God who made that man blind in order to show His works? If you are not careful you would think Jesus said, God caused the blindness so that He will show forth His works.
But that’s like saying, anytime Jesus cast out demons from people, he was the one who put it there and then came later to cast them out. Will that not be fraudulent? But that’s not what Jesus said. He didn’t explain the cause of the blindness; but He simply said, through it God’s works will be manifest.
We already know from James that God doesn’t TEMPT anyone with evil. There are EVIL FORCES in this life who will stop at nothing until they have destroyed you; They bring afflictions and troubles and temptations – to cause you to lose your faith. But even in that, God does use it to show his Works and Glory in your life. Jesus said,
“As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” Then he went ahead to heal the man of the blindness. Glory to God.
Jesus said to Peter,
“Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not…Luke 22:31-32”
When you see trouble around, know where it’s coming from and don’t accuse God wrongly. The devil, as a roaring lion is always seeking someone to devour, so don’t let your guard down. And don’t let your heart be troubled, FOR IN ALL THESE THINGS, WE ARE MORE THAN CONQUERORS THROUGH CHRIST WHO LOVED US. Shout Amen!
BE OF GOOD CHEER BELOVED. YOU HAVE JESUS, YOU HAVE OVERCOME THE WORLD. Hallelujah!
GRACEFUL MORNING
