I Timothy 6:6-7 Now godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
Philippians 4:11-13 Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
There is a very delicate balance between FAITH and CONTENTMENT, and the matured in the Lord know how to handle this balance very well. For whereas by faith you can claim all things, you must still learn the art of having nothing but yet settled in your heart.
Those who do not have this, as the Apostle said,
put themselves into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition.
The young man who has Godliness With Contentment, may receive a vision of a global multinational ministry from the Lord, but will gladly be having services under a hut without murmuring or complaining. A young couple may have big dreams of living in a mansion and sailing on yachts, but if they have Godliness With Contentment, they may start life in a single room in a slum, and still not be ashamed or sad. They will not dig themselves into unrecoverable debts just to have a glamorous wedding for the onlookers to applaud.
Sadly, that’s the times we are living in. We live in a social media and a credit card generation, where people will go all length to make a public show that they are doing well, whiles they go to bed weeping and bleeding.
Contentment is a state of adequacy and sufficiency in what one has, without requiring aid or support. GREED IS OF THE DEVIL- LEARN TO BE CONTENT IN GODLINESS, Child of God. LEARN TO BE SELF-SUFFICIENT AT WHATEVER STAGE YOU PRESENTLY ARE. Gloryyyyy!
GRACEFUL MORNING
