Matthew‬ ‭13:3‭-‬4‬,19 ‭NKJV‬‬ [3] Then He spoke many things to them in parables, saying: “Behold, a sower went out to sow.  [4] And as he sowed, some seed fell by the wayside; and the birds came and devoured them. [19] When anyone hears the word of the kingdom, and does not understand it, then the wicked one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is he who received seed by the wayside. 

In the parable of the sower, Jesus teaches about the various levels of apprehension of knowledge.  He was explaining the principles underlining HOW ONE CAN PROGRESS IN KNOWLEDGE AND ARRIVE AT EPIGNOSIS(full knowledge)

When any knowledge is served to a man, whether during church service, in personal devotions, through books, or tapes, it must have RECEPTION or else it doesn’t enter the heart. This is the seed that falls by the wayside (of your heart). Even though the word of God was preached, it wasn’t received.

But what you must understand is, Whenever any word of God that comes to you doesn’t have reception in your heart, the devil comes to snatch it away. That’s one of his day jobs. This is mostly how you listened to a teaching in church, but by the next day you cannot remember what was taught. Seemed as if it has been wiped out. Most of that is because, the word was not received. It fell by the wayside of your heart.

If you want to grow and bear fruits in your Christian life, you must make sure that you GIVE RECEPTION TO THE WORD OF GOD to find entrance to your heart. Hallelujah. Be blessed!
