Romans 15:14 And I myself also am persuaded of you, my brethren, that ye also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another.

Colossians 3:12 Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;

As Christ’s representative here on earth, He wants us to put on a heart of compassion, kindness and goodness. This is what the world must know us by.

I like how the message translation puts it: ‭

So, chosen by God for this new life of love, dress in the wardrobe God picked out for you: compassion, kindness, humility, quiet strength, discipline.

In answering the question, “Who is my neighbour?” and “How do I love my neighbour as myself?”, Jesus narrated the story of the good samaritan. The story of a travelling man who was attacked by bandits, robbed, beaten and left for dead. A pastor passed by, saw him and walked away. A levite or a member of the deacon board came by, saw him and also walked away. Then a Samaritan who was not a jew (in our current settings  you can say he is not a Christian) came along. He attended to the wounded man, applied first aid, carried him on his donkey to the hospital, and paid for all the bills. He showed kindness and compassion.

After the parable,Jesus asked,

So which of these three do you think was neighbor to him who fell among the thieves?”  And he said, “He who showed mercy on him.” Then Jesus said to him, “Go and do likewise.” (Luke‬ ‭10:36‭-‬37‬)

The world must know the Christ within us by how we show kindness and compassion to others. Hallelujah. BE CHRISTLIKE, BE LIKE THAT SAMARITAN AND SHOW COMPASSION. You are blessed!
