Romans 4:17b Even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.
Hebrews 11:1 AMPC NOW FAITH is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses].
Now, you can say when HOPE is fully grown it produces faith. Hope is like a baby-faith because faith usually starts as hope.
I love how the Amplified and other versions put it: Faith is the confirmation or the TITLE DEED of the things we hope for. Do you know what a TITLE DEED is? It’s the legal document that proves that you own a certain property. And that’s FAITH.
It’s like this. You have an expectation or a wish to own a BMW car – That’s HOPE. Now a good Samaritan comes your way and hears about your wish and decides to surprise you. He brings out the ownership documents to his BMW and signs your name on it, transferring ownership to you. He gives you the papers or Title Deed to the car – That’s Faith.
So you see, even though you have not seen the car or sat in it yet, if I were to ask you, “Do you own a BMW car?” What would be your answer? Of course it’s a YES. You have the legal proof in your hands even though you have not gone for the physical car yet. That’s what we mean by FAITH IS NOW – it’s not something in the future. Faith is the confirmation/substance/title deed of what you hoped for. The physical thing might not be in your possession, but when you have faith, you have the TITLE DEED to the object. YOU HAVE IT. Praise God! Have thou Faith?
GRACEFUL MORNING
