Romans‬ ‭8:5‭-‬6‬ ‭ For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who  live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.  For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

WHAT YOU SET YOUR MIND ON PREDOMINANTLY IS WHAT YOU WILL SEE AND EXPERIENCE IN YOUR LIFE. If you are carnally minded it will bring you death, if you are spiritually minded, life. If you are lack-minded it brings you poverty, if you are abundance minded you create wealth. If your mind is always on sickness and disease you are most likely going to be plagued with one sickness after the other.

 When you turn on the TV set, you can set the channel on what you want to see. When you set it on 1 you will get a certain channel that shows children animation, when you set it on 2 you get a Christian channel, when you set it on 3 you get a horror movie. Whatever you set it to is what is going to be played to you. Your mind, working like a television can receive and transmit signals in similar fashion. But you must choose what channel you want to set it on. There are a lot of both negative and positive signals all around you, but what do you want to see?

If you will constantly see lack, and disease and trouble and sin, that’s what your life is going to be filled with. On the contrary, if with your mind, you will see abundance and health and joy and righteousness, that’s the life you will have.

So Colossians 3:2 tells us to Set our minds on things above, not on earthly things.

WHAT KIND OF LIFE DO YOU WANT TO LIVE? INTENTIONALLY AND CONSTANTLY SET YOUR MIND ON THAT. You are shooting yourself in the foot if you desire one kind of life, and yet are constantly focused on the opposite. Keep your mind on the heavenly glory in Christ and you will be living it soon.
