I Corinthians 8:2 And if anyone thinks that he knows anything, he knows nothing yet as he ought to know.
Proverbs 26:12 AMP Do you see a man [who is unteachable and] wise in his own eyes and full of self-conceit? There is more hope for a fool than for him.
Why doesn’t the Word of God work sometimes in our lives? Why does it seem as some principles just don’t work out for you? What’s happening if you have learnt a certain principle and understand it well, but you can’t seem to get solutions from it – it just doesn’t work out in your case? What’s the matter there?
Well, one simple answer to that quagmire is in the scripture above,
“And if anyone thinks that he knows anything, he knows nothing yet as he ought to know.” EVEN THOUGH YIU THINK YOU UNDERSTAND, YET YOUR KNOWLEDGE OF THAT PRINCIPLE OR CONCEPT IS INADEQUATE AND LACKING DEPTH.
One lady said to me, “I have been confessing and confessing, but I don’t see anything.” What could be her problem? She needs more enlightenment on the principle of creating realities with her words. YOU DON’T ONLY SPEAK WITH YOUR MOUTH, YOU SPEAK WITH YOUR THOUGHTS AS WELL. And many people being ignorant of this, speak one thing with their mouth, and the opposite with their mind. So they can’t seem to make progress. They take one step forward and two steps backwards.
But Ephesians 3:20 says, God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that WE ASK OR THINK. God doesn’t only answer what you ask with your mouth, but also what you think. YOUR THOUGHTS ARE YOUR SILENT WORDS, AND YOUR WORDS ARE YOUR LOUD THOUGHTS. The two are siamese twins. So as you are asking God for one thing, what are your thoughts saying? Does your mouth say “I believe”, but your thoughts scream unbelief?
So you see, anytime a certain principle is not working for you, always check the depths of your knowledge and understanding of the concept; and go for more knowledge. Be blessed Child of God in Jesus name. Amen!
GRACEFUL MORNING
