Galatians 3:22-24 But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe. But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed. Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
What is this our COMMON FAITH? If you are born again, then you do have this ONE FAITH which is common to all Christians everywhere. In fact, this ONE FAITH is not really your faith; it is the Faith of Jesus Christ imparted to you by the Holy Spirit through the reception and believing of the Gospel.
This is what I mean:
Jesus is the AUTHOR of this Faith (Heb 12:2); that is why it is called the faith of Jesus Christ. And the instant you heard the Gospel of Christ and believed, He imparts that Faith to your spirit. And even though you were not there 2000 years ago when He died but yet you believe He died; and you have the faith that his death paid for your sins. Is it not strange? It should be, because it’s a great miracle to have this Faith; that’s why the people of the world cannot understand it. All Christians have The Same Measure of this Faith:
Romans 12:3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man THE MEASURE of faith.
So irrespective of our preferences and seeming differences, all believers are ONE in this regard that we have THE SAME COMMON FAITH OF JESUS CHRIST. If only the Church can focus on our commonalities rather than our apparent differences, we will be a really strong force to reckon with. Hallelujah!
GRACEFUL MORNING
