Luke 18:35-42
As Jesus approached Jericho, a blind man was sitting by the roadside begging…
Jesus stopped and ordered the man to be brought to him. When he came near, Jesus asked him, “What do you want me to do for you?” “Lord, I want to see,” he replied. Jesus said to him, “Receive your sight; your faith has healed you.”
I have usually asked people around me, on their birthdays, “What gift do you want from me? Ask anything and I will provide it.” That’s an audacious thing to do. What if a request is made that I can’t provide? I am normally often disappointed by the requests I get: some don’t make any requests at all, and others make very feeble requests. For some reason, nobody tells me, “I want a car”, or “Get me a jet”. Maybe they look at me and have an estimate of what they think I can provide. What if they were wrong in their estimation of my ability? I am sure if Elon Musk or Bill Gates gave them that blank check, the requests might be different.
Jesus said, WHATSOEVER YOU SHALL ASK THE FATHER IN MY NAME, HE WILL GIVE IT TO YOU. Whaaat? Listen to what Jesus said to the blind guy who was begging along the streets of Jericho, “What do you want me to do for you?”
Such
EFFRONTERY!
The bottom line is this: THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING THAT YOU CAN ASK OR THINK THAT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO GOD ‘IN HIS NAME’. And I keep telling you, Jesus didn’t add any conditions to it. The limitations are only in your own mind. Why don’t you drop those limits and believe. Hallelujah!
