Revelations 22:12
And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

2 Timothy 4:8
Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

The reason why the CROWN OF RIGHTEOUSNESS is for all those that love his appearing is this: YOU CANNOT LOVE HIS RETURN/APPEARING WHEN YOU HAVE NOT DONE THE WORK HE GAVE YOU TO DO.

Imagine your parents were going to town, and they give you a task (let’s say, to do the laundry). The day is almost done and they might return home soon, but you have not yet done the work. Do you see that you wouldn’t want them to return until you are done? Same applies to the student who hasn’t prepared adequately for the exam, he wishes the exam is not tomorrow and wishes it is delayed. But the student who has studied and done his homework well cannot wait for that exam. She is expecting and anticipating it. To her, it’s taking too long to come. That’s how it is.

If you have not been active on your ministry, how can you love His appearing – knowing He is coming as a judge of duty and service. But if you have been preparing and fulfilling your ministry and divine assignment, ohhh, you can’t wait. You are eager and anticipating. You say MARANATHA… EVEN SO COME NOW LORD! Heyaaaa!

So you see, one way to test your dutifulness or check whether you are on course, is to ask yourself, AM I READY FOR THE LORD’S RETURN? IF JESUS IS TO APPEAR TODAY, AM I READY? Think about that!

May the Lord find us ready and actively on our ministries when He returns in His Glory. Hallelujah! Amen!
