Luke 9:61-62 And another also said, Lord, I will follow thee; but let me first go bid them farewell, which are at home at my house. And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.
When you believed, did you give your WHOLE life to Jesus or part of your life? He can have your health but not your finances. The Lord can have a say in your job and your promotion, but He is not invited into your relationship and who you date? No dear! It doesn’t operate that way.
YOU DON’T TURN BACK AFTER YOU PUT YOUR HAND TO THE PLOUGH. It’s like the Akan proverb which says, “You cannot look into a single bottle with both eyes.”
An old English preacher once said, “If Christ cannot be LORD OF ALL, He will not be LORD AT ALL”. Understand this very well dear one, In your life, Jesus will not take 2nd place or 3rd place or 4th. That’s why I told you previously that, JESUS IS EITHER LORD OF ALL OR HE IS NOT LORD AT ALL.
You can’t pick and choose what departments of your life He can control and what He cannot. Which is why Jesus laid down a very seemingly difficult term in Luke 14:33. He said,
“So likewise, whoever of you does not forsake all that he has CANNOT BE MY DISCIPLE.”
It’s the Law of TOTAL ABANDONMENT. Is Jesus the Lord of your life? Does He have full control or part-control? Think about that carefully and make up your mind well. Selah!
GRACEFUL MORNING
