Proverbs 17:3 The refining pot is for silver and the furnace for gold, But the Lord tests the hearts.
James 1:12 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
The word, “TRIED” as used here by Pastor James is “DOKIMOS” ; and it signifies an APPROVAL or ACCEPTANCE. And this approval is after you have been tested. BECAUSE APPROVAL COMES ONLY AFTER TESTING OR DISTINGUISHING A THING.
In those days, the word is used of coins and metals which are cast into a furnace to see if they are good or worthy.
“The refining pot is for silver, and the furnace for gold” – Proverbs 17:3
The fire is what tests and distinguishes the good metals from the bad. Hence, this is how APPROVAL happens – BY FIRE.
Having taken some exams myself, I agree that some TESTS or EXAMS are too tough and hard.😅 But this is how your instructor can confidently pass you and be assured that you won’t disappoint out there, and that you will give a good account of the training you have received. In fact, THE HARDER THE TESTS THE HIGHER THE DEGREE OF APPROVAL. A High School EXAMS in mathematics cannot be compared to a Masters level exams in Maths. Even take a specific subject like calculus – it’s a different level at high school as against Calculus II in the university (If know you know). So take heart, your test is hard because you are being TRIED for a higher degree. Don’t quit and don’t throw in the towel yet. YOU CAN DO THIS FRIEND, AND THE LORD IS YOUR STRENGTH.
Question: WILL YOU COME OUT APPROVED WHEN YOU ARE PUT TO THE TEST? WILL YOU? Selah! Your day is blessed in Jesus Name. Shout AMEN.
GRACEFUL MORNING
