Romans 12:4-5 For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.
What does it mean to be ONE BODY and how did it come by?
Paul uses the illustration of the Body and its parts to explain this very important trait. He says:
“For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ. For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body— whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free—and have all been made to drink into one Spirit.” -I Corinthians 12:12-13
Christ is the head of the body and we all are living parts/members of this body connected through the Spirit. Someone is a hand and another is an eye, and another is an ear. One church might be the digestive system of this body while another is the immune system. But We Are All Members Of The Same Body – THE BODY OF CHRIST.
Paul is a member of this body, so is Peter; Your Pastor is a member and so are you. Generals and saints that have died and those who are still living are all members of this ONE BODY. This body is so huge, it spans across generations and time.
Whoever you are, and wherever you are, never forget that you are A MEMBER OF THE ONE BODY OF CHRIST before you became a member of a denomination or church group. Shalom and Grace be multiplied unto you. Amen!
GRACEFUL MORNING
