1 Corinthians 12:12-13 For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

Contrary to popular Pentecostal teachings, THE BAPTISM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT is not and should not be a different experience from your born again experience; it is instead the baptism that saves us. Without sounding too doctrinal, and without getting into the theological debate of the kinds of baptisms, my goal here is to help you to understand vividly HOW YOU GOT REGENERATED OR BORN AGAIN by the Holy Spirit. At the point of salvation, the Holy Spirit takes your spirit and immerses or baptizes it into Himself; being fully immersed in the Spirit, you cannot help but drink of the Spirit consequently. This is what we call the OUTWARD and the INWARD filling. This Baptizo into the spirit is what incorporates the individual into the CORPORATE MYSTICAL BODY OF CHRIST.

If you caught that, blessed are your eyes for they see. But let me make this a little bit more graphical to help your understanding:

See the Holy Spirit as a pool of water. At salvation, you are immersed into this pool – if we keep you in the pool for long, eventually some of the water will enter you by means of drinking. This is your baptism of the Spirit.

The Holy Spirit is that universal pool into which we all have been immersed, and have all drunk of. This is the ONE SPIRIT. Hallelujah to His name!
