Job 23:12 KJV Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food.

If God’s word will find entrance to the heart, it must be received with READINESS OF MIND. You should be ready and alert for the word, and not be distracted by any fleeting thoughts.

Many people miss the blessedness of God’s Word because they aren’t ready in mind when the Word came to them. The entire time the word of God is being preached, she is thinking about a telenovela or a movie series; and he is fantasizing about a football match or a video game. So although the seed of the word of God was sown, like Jesus taught, it will fall by the wayside of the heart and be lost eventually.

This is why the Word Of God seems not to work for a lot of people. At their time of need, there is no rhema to declare; because when that vital seed was being sowed they missed it due to unreadiness in mind.

One must learn to still the mind when in the presence of God. Your thoughts might wander, but you must always learn to recentre it on the important thing. You must gain control and mastery over your thoughts, for that is how you will be able to turn it into a fertile ground. Hallelujah! Be blessed Child of God! Amen!
