Matthew 1:21,23 And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus , for He will save His people from their sins.” “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.”

The reason for the MAS(celebration) is CHRIST. So I don’t understand why we want to label it as Xmas instead of CHRISTmas. It’s an agenda to take away Christ from the celebration and replace Him with an ‘X’. In other parts of the world, it is now called ‘Holidays’ because politically correct people don’t want to offend others who don’t believe in Jesus. So instead of “MERRY CHRISTMAS”, you will hear “Happy Holidays”. It doesn’t make sense at all.

But I will tell you this:

JESUS CHRIST IS GOD’S INDESCRIBABLE GIFT TO MANKIND, and we need to be thankful and joyous about it. 2 Cor 9:15 says, ” Thank God for his son – his gift too wonderful for words” – TLB

We were lost in sin, and the penalty of our sin was inescapable death(Rom 6:23). There was no way out, so God himself became a man through his son(Phil 2:6-8), so that through death he will pay the full penalty of our sin and save us from it. Jesus became our SOTA or SAVIOR. It’s a love story, never before told. This is why we celebrate CHRISTmas. Why don’t you remind and share that story with someone today. Hallelujah.
