1 Peter 2:2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:

2 Peter 3:18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.

In the metamorphosis of the butterfly, when the larva or caterpillar emerges from the egg, it’s in a totally different form from the adult butterfly: short legs, green body, no wings, tiny eyes, short antenna, etc. But to transform into a butterfly, the caterpillar MUST EAT A LOT. This stage is actually called the FEEDING STAGE.

In fact, the only thing the caterpillar does is EATING and then shedding its skin in transformation, then eating more.

What I am saying is, IF YOU WOULD BE TRANSFORMED BY THE RENEWING OF THE MIND, YOU MUST FEED ON CHRIST EARNESTLY. You must EAT THE WORD OF GOD a lot. This is your feeding stage. If the caterpillar doesn’t eat well during this stage it might remain a caterpillar for the rest of its life – and we won’t be seeing any colorful and beautiful butterflies. I know you don’t want to be a caterpillar for the rest of your life, so FEED WELL during your feeding stage.

That is why Peter says,

“like newborn babies [you should] long for the pure milk of the word, so that by it you may be nurtured and grow in respect to salvation [its ultimate fulfillment]” – 1 Peter 2:2 AMP

I pray for you, That you will GROW in Grace and in the knowledge of Christ as you feed on God’s precious Word. Amen. Glory to God!
