Philippians 2:5-8 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
To show us how far he was willing to go for us, Jesus left His GODHOOD status and became a MAN. He stripped Himself of all his divine privileges and rightful dignity, so as to assume the guise of a slavish man.
The truth is, Jesus became the lowest man there could ever be. Isaiah described it this way:
“his appearance was so disfigured beyond that of any human being and his form marred beyond human likeness -Isaiah 52:14
‘He has no form or comeliness; And when we see Him, There is no beauty that we should desire Him -Isaiah 53:2’
We see many paintings of Jesus Christ and he has this kingly pomp and majestic beauty, but at the height of his IDENTIFICATION WITH FALLEN MAN, he didn’t look anything close to that at all. The Bible says, there was no beauty in him that anyone would desire him. No lady would have accepted Jesus’ proposal at the time, because he was the ugliest man alive at that period. Yes it was that bad, but Jesus went that far because of the length of his love for us. He truly loved us.
For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich. (2 Corinthians 8:9)
I can sing of His love forever. Have a lovely day beloved. God bless you.
GRACEFUL MORNING
