Lamentations 3:25-26 The Lord is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him. It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the Lord.
Matthew 6:7-8 NKJV [7] And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words. [8] “Therefore do not be like them. For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him.
We have a low view of prayer if we think prayer is a means of merely telling God what we want him to do. Prayer is LISTENING even more than it is talking; In silence we wait and listen to hear what OUR KING is saying. After all your father knows what you need before you come asking.
One of the underlying principles or reasons why we pray is that: God always knows best, so we seek HIS WILL in prayer. This is why, PRAYERLESSNES IS A SIGN OF PRIDE. A truly humble person recognises that he/she cannot make it without God, and is constantly dependent on Him through prayer. A proud person in heart doesn’t realise this and can keep going in their life without any recourse to God.
As you learn to still yourself in His presence, the Lord will impress on your heart through the spirit what He wants done in your life. Don’t rush it – WAIT ON HIM. But these days, in this drive-through era, we barely have time to sit and wait; not even for God. Someone said to God in prayer, “Lord, you have 5 minutes, speak quickly and let me go.” . Well, you might not say it like that, but that’s exactly what we do. WE HAVE NO TIME TO WAIT AND LISTEN WHEN WE COME TO GOD IN PRAYER. But I admonish you to learn to make time and wait on the Lord, for that’s how you will soar in this life. Hallelujah! Amen!
GRACEFUL MORNING
