John 17:12 While I was with them in the world, I kept them in Your name. Those whom You gave Me I have kept; and none of them is lost except the son of perdition, that the Scripture might be fulfilled.
John 6:39 And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.
Under the GOVERNANCE of a good shepherd, no sheep is lost. He must keep and preserve every single soul committed to his trust.
Do you know why this is so? Because the shepherd will account for every sheep in his charge. The duty of shepherding is a spiritual one and has eternal consequences or benefits.
So Hebrews 13:17 says,
“Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account… “
What accounts will you give for the souls entrusted to you whom you have lost? Selah! It is the Father’s Will that the shepherd loses none of the flock entrusted to him/her. We will account for every soul that we mistreated and drove away; we will account for the ones we lost from malnourishment, we will give account for those we couldn’t protect from the enemies attack – who became food for the wolves.
THE STAKES ARE VERY HIGH. That’s why you must not take the role lightly at all. THE GOOD SHEPHERD KEEPS HIS FLOCK, AND LOSES NONE. Are you a good shepherd? Can we say the same thing Jesus said, that, ‘Those whom You gave Me I have kept; and none of them is lost’? Be blessed in His Name.
GRACEFUL MORNING
