1 John 4:9-10 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
The world we live in is controlled by selfishness through and through. But if we follow the impulses of our recreated spirit, we would live as the master lived, in love. We will be the difference everywhere we go.
Someone said to me the other day, “if I become rich I will help the poor.” But not so brother, if you can’t help people with the little you have, what makes you think you would do any differently if you became a millionaire. If you can’t share now what you have, it will still be difficult to share with anyone later when you have plenty. Do you remember the story of the little boy who gave his lunch to Jesus to feed the five thousand with? Yes, LOVE SHARES THE HALF LOAF. LOVE SHARES THE LITTLE SHE HAS.
Jesus said,
“Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much.” (Luke 16:10)
That is why God so loved the world that He gave HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON. It was HIS ONLY, yet He gave him. Don’t forget that – that God gave HIS ONLY to save us from the wages of our sins. May we follow after Love’s impulses even with our little. May we have the heart and compassion to give even our widow’s mite. Praise God! AMEN!
GRACEFUL MORNING
