Acts 20:22‭-‬24 And see, now I go bound in the spirit to Jerusalem, not knowing the things that will happen to me there, except that the Holy Spirit testifies in every city, saying that chains and tribulations await me. But none of these things move me; nor do I count my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my race with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.

What can anyone do to a dead person? Nothing. You don’t feel abuse, insults don’t hurt you, you are not offended by rejection. Persecutions, Trials and Afflictions don’t stop you. There is no fear of imprisonment or even death. Why? BECAUSE YOU ARE ALREADY DEAD. Satan and all his forces cannot handle such men and women who are truly and fully (spirit,soul and body) dead in Christ.

You went for an outreach and someone insulted you, so what? You won’t go again? I read about the sufferings and sorrows of Watchman Nee for the Gospel and I am stirred up to do more. He will go many weeks on a little loaf of bread because He vowed to live singly and purely by Faith in God and not use other means. He was arrested in 1952  and falsely condemned and imprisoned for 15years because of  his preachings. And in prison, he was not allowed to mention the Lord’s name. He eventually died in confinement and he left a note under his pillow which read:

“Christ is the son of God who died for the redemption of sinners and resurrected after three days. This is the greatest truth in the universe. I die because of my belief in Christ.” – Watchman Nee

Paul said, ‘chains and tribulations await me, but NONE OF THESE THINGS MOVE ME; NOR DO I COUNT MY LIFE DEAR TO MYSELF, SO THAT I MAY FINISH MY RACE WITH JOY.’ Wow! He was a dead man. It is my prayer that, the Lord will raise a generation of men and women who have properly died through and through. And we will fear nothing, but go all out for the Lord and for the Gospel.
