Matthew 15:7-9 Hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophesy about you, saying: ‘These people draw near to Me with their mouth, And honor Me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me. And in vain they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.
Jesus says, there are people who draw near to Him only with the lips, but the BELIEVE in their heart is not proper. He calls them HYPOCRITES.
These people will claim to be worshipping God in the churches, with hands raised, but Jesus says, “IT’S ALL IN VAIN”. The Amplified version says, ‘USELESSLY DO THEY WORSHIP ME.‘ They might even be leaders and pastors who claim to represent God, but God never sent them; Jesus said, they are teachers of the commandments of men, not of God. Amazing!
You see, THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS NOT IN APPEARANCE, IT IS IN SUBSTANCE. Of course, APPEARANCE matters to men, but to God, the real state of the heart is what registers.
You might be as eloquent as Socrates, but if your heart does not truly reflect your words, it’s for nothing. If your BELIEF IN JESUS CHRIST is not a true heart surrender then YOUR JOINING TO CHRIST IS IMPROPER, you might as well remain an unbeliever; for man looks at the outward appearance, but God looks at the heart. DON’T BE A LIP-SERVICE BELIEVER, MY FRIEND – it’s a waste of your time and efforts. Praise God!
GRACEFUL MORNING
