2 Corinthians 4:3-5 NIV [3] And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. [4] The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. [5] For what we preach is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake.
Although the believer can do all things in Christ, there are some strings attached. I doubt you can build a jet engine when given all the needed parts, can you? Why not?
There are 2 main elements necessary for the doing of anything, namely
1. The WILL to do
2. The KNOWLEDGE or KNOW-HOW required
So you see, besides willing to do something, you need the KNOW-HOW to actually get it done.
If I want to play the guitar, and know how to play the guitar, I can play it; but if I want to play the saxophone and do not know how to play the saxophone, I cannot play the saxophone, no matter how much I want to do so. I might not even be able to hold it correctly, if I have not been taught how. Take, for example, if I ask you to prepare shawarma. You have to want to prepare it and you have to know how to prepare the shawarma, and those two elements have to be joined together before any shawarma can be made.
This is why KNOWLEDGE is of prime importance to the child of God. There are many things you can potentially do in Christ but you need to get the required knowledge for them from the Word of God and from the Spirit of God, else you may never be able to actually do it. You cannot be lazy. Always Go For Knowledge. Have a blessed day! Amen.
