Matthew 6:28-30 “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith?
Jesus was quite bullish about this. He said,
IF GOD TAKES CARE OF THE BIRDS AND THE FLOWERS, SHALL HE NOT CARE FOR YOU? ARE YOU NOT MORE IMPORTANT TO GOD THAN FLOWERS?
The message Bible captures that quite interestingly. It says:
“Walk out into the fields and look at the wildflowers. They never primp or shop, but have you ever seen color and design quite like it? The ten best-dressed men and women in the country look shabby alongside them.
Hahahaaa. Is that not interesting?
It is a matter that has got to do with PRIORITY AND IMPORTANCE . The father who will spend his money on booze when his children have not eaten has his priorities turned upside down. Which correct father will direct his money into other fantasies when his children’s fees have not been paid? Well, you will find some fathers do that, but that just goes to show how misplaced their priorities are. So the Bible says in 1 Timothy 5:8,
‘Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.’
But your HEAVENLY FATHER is not like that. He cares and cherishes you.
Child of God,
DO YOU KNOW YOUR VALUE AND IMPORTANCE TO YOUR HEAVENLY FATHER? Jesus asked his disciples, ‘If God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, WILL HE NOT MUCH MORE CLOTHE YOU —YOU OF LITTLE FAITH?’
Do you think grass is more important to God than you are, daughter of zion? Then why do you worry and cry over these things as though your heavenly Father doesn’t care?
I want you to see yourself as VALUABLE and IMPORTANT to God. I want you to understand that He has already made provisions for all your basic necessities, and you don’t have to cry and beg him for it. Hallelujah!
GRACEFUL MORNING
