1 John 5:11-13 [11] And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. [12] He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. [13] These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
A person’s true abilities is an innate quality, and not externally taught or acquired. It’s true that there are a lot of skills that we have mastered through training and teaching, but that’s mostly because it’s deep calling after deep. There was always an internal capacity for that, else all the training would have proved futile.
Try teaching a cat to bark, or a fish to speak English. Except done supernaturally, these will be difficult tasks to accomplish. There is an African proverb that says
“No matter how long a leopard stands in the rain, its spots will never wash away”
The main point I want you to get from my argument is that, WHAT YOU CAN DO IS A PRODUCT OF YOUR NATURE OR LIFE. An action stemming from an internal life force is difficult or impossible to stop. This is why when God wanted to transform man, He didn’t merely do an external conformation, but an internal implantation of His life. God put his very life and nature(eternal life) in you, so you can eventually do God deeds.
When God calls for goodness and righteousness from you, it is because He has already put His God-Life in you. And he knows that this life can do good, it can love, and can express a host of amazing God traits. The true message of the Gospel of Christ is not character modification. No. It’s more than that. God went to the seed or the nucleus of your being and put his life there. With this life you can do a host of amazing things because you are a child of God. Hallelujah! Have a beautiful day in Jesus name. Amen!
GRACEFUL MORNING
