James 1:12-13 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man
To those who say, “God has brought a certain evil to tempt/try me”, Pastor James explains this very well to us. He says, ‘Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: FOR GOD CANNOT BE TEMPTED WITH EVIL, NEITHER TEMPTETH HE ANY MAN.’
Evil has its cause and source, but you can be sure that that source is not God FOR GOD DOES NOT TEMPT WITH EVIL.
God and evil are separate and there is no connection between them. We saw earlier from 1John 1:5 how that God is exclusively LIGHT and in Him is no iota of darkness.
I want you to know and believe beyond doubt that that sickness and trouble and evil was not sent by God to teach you a lesson. He was not testing you with a disease. God does not tempt and discipline with evil – He has better tools to discipline his children with; evil is not one of them. He is a God of love and light. Glory to his name.
GRACEFUL MORNING
