Colossians 3:1‭-‬3 Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.

The secret to having an abundant life is to set the focal point of one’s thoughts on the HIGHER things above, and not on the LOWLY and negative.

The text goes on to list vices such as:

sexual vices, impurity, sensual appetites, unholy desires, and all greed and covetousness, idolatry, anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy language, lieing. All these animalistic impulses are all negative, earthly and sensual.

You cannot operate at a higher heavenly spectrum and be fraternizing with such lowly thoughts and deeds. Rather you must keep your attention and focus on abundance and the things of ultimate and highest good. You cannot properly do that without keeping your thought and mind on things that bring:

tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; bearing with one another, and forgiving of one another. These are all expressions of LOVE. TO PROPERLY LIVE AN ABUNDANT LIFE, YOU MUST BE A PERSON OF LOVE, JUST AS CHRIST WAS. This is the main reason for the law of giving and receiving. Money gravitates towards the one who is loving and kind enough to meet the needs of others with it. This explains why you can find an Alhaji whose business easily prospers and grows because he is so kind and generous, whiles the tongue speaking prayer warrior will be suffering lack. THE LAW OF ABUNDANCE WAS MADE TO BE UTTERLY HARMONIUS WITH LOVE. Let the love of God flow from your heart and mind to others. That is the way of Christ. Praise God Forevermore.
