Revelations 6:9-11 When he opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain because of the word of God and the testimony they had maintained. They called out in a loud voice, “How long, Sovereign Lord, holy and true, until you judge the inhabitants of the earth and avenge our blood?” Then each of them was given a white robe, and they were told to wait a little longer, until the full number of their fellow servants, their brothers and sisters, were killed just as they had been.

Is there any purpose to God allowing the slaying of all the martyrs the church has had since it’s inception? Did you know that all the disciples of Jesus were killed as martyrs except one? Is there a reason to justify all such sufferings that the saints have endured?

In the 5th seal in Revelations, when the martyrs who have been killed asked the Lord, how long that suffering will continue, the response was that “until the full number of their fellow servants, their brothers and sisters, were killed just as they had been.” Wow! It is almost as though these lives were a necessary seed needed for a much more bigger harvest in that same place of persecution and suffering. Out of Jesus’ death, many have been made alive; out of his stripes we were healed.

In your own life and Christian walk, WHAT HAVE YOU SUFFERED AND ENDURED BECAUSE OF THE GOSPEL AND THE KINGDOM OF GOD?

There are things we may not fully understand or be able to explain completely now. And trying to understand them from our earthly interpretation doesn’t always add up also. But in the fullness of time we will see the Wisdom and Justice of our God. In the end, we will all see that there was not an iota of suffering that was ever in vain. EVERY SUFFERING SHALL RECEIVE IT’S JUST RECOMPENSE OF REWARD. SO CHEER UP MY BROTHER/SISTER. Like the scripture says,

“But rejoice inasmuch as you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed. If you are insulted because of the name of Christ, you are blessed, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you.” – 1 Peter 4:13‭-‬14. Hallelujah! You are a candidate for the CROWN OF LIFE. Glooooory!
