Revelation 3:15‭-‬16 “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.”

In his message to the seven churches, Jesus sternly condemns LUKEWARMNESS in the Laodicean church.

To the Lord, it’s even better to be COLD than to be LUKEWARM(neither cold nor hot). We would all agree that hot food is satisfying to the taste; in the same way as cold food is (for foods meant to be eaten cold). But who likes lukewarm food? It’s almost nauseating to take in, such that it may create a vomiting effect. Hence Jesus said, “I will vomit you out of My mouth.”

Such is the case of the believer who is TEPID and INDIFFERENT. There is a cloak of hypocrisy around such believers who claim they serve God but follow after their own way. The Lord detests such ones. So Joshua said unto the people in Joshua 24:15,

“But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”

MAKE UP YOUR MIND, FRIEND. IF THE LORD IS GOD THEN SERVE HIM; or if He is not, then serve whomever you will. But you can’t sit on the fence and be LUKEWARM, you will be vomited out. Be admonished! Glory to God!
