Romans 14:1-3 Receive one who is weak in the faith, but not to disputes over doubtful things. For one believes he may eat all things, but he who is weak eats only vegetables. Let not him who eats despise him who does not eat, and let not him who does not eat judge him who eats; for God has received him.
WE MUST RECEIVE ALL WHOM THE LORD HAS RECEIVED, IRRESPECTIVE OF THEIR GENDER, RACE, CULTURE, CLASS, INTERESTS, FAITH LEVEL, DOCTRINAL INCLINATION, AND ANY OTHER SEEMING DIFFERENCES. This is how you know who is your brother and who is not.
Indeed, Christians might differ from one another in many things and have different preferences but something BONDS us together. There is a MARK and a SPIRITUAL DNA that identifies every believer and makes us one.
It is like the way, biological siblings might differ one from the other in many things but have the same *DNA* inherited from their parent, likewise, spiritually any and every one who believes in Jesus has the SEAL/STAMP of the Holy Spirit in their spirit. THEREFORE THE PROOF OF OUR BROTHERHOOD IN CHRIST IS THE SEAL OF THE SPIRIT.
Which is why 2 Corinthians 1:22 RSV says,
“It is God who has put his seal upon us and given us his Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee.”
Listen brother/sister,
It doesn’t matter whether you worship on Saturday and I on Sunday, or whether you are white and I black, or whether you are orthodox and I Pentecostal; if you have the same spiritual DNA as I, then you are my Brother/Sister. Let this mind be in you also, beloved. Shalom!
GRACEFUL MORNING
