Ephesians 5:1-2 Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.
1 Thessalonians 2:7 But we were gentle among you, even as a nurse cherisheth her children
The child of God must learn to be gentle because GENTLENESS is one of the attributes of the spirit of God within us. The word means humility or meekness, and it’s one of the branches of love.
Remember,
Matthew 5:5 says, ‘Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.’
THE WELL TRAINED CHILD OF GOD IS VERY GENTLE OR CHIVALROUS. Please don’t tell me, your temperament makes you ungentle. You don’t have to always be abrasive and harsh. There must be some delicateness and tenderness about you. Work on it, Intentionally practice it.
It’s not just about what you say, but also HOW you say it very well matters.
Ephesians 4:15a says,
“But speaking the truth in love”. It means even truth can be said in love or not in love which ends up injuring the person rather than helping. We might be correcting someone, but let’s color it with love. Let those words drop with love and gentleness from your lips. We are love beings made after the likeness of a love God – LET LOVE OOZE OUT OF YOU. Hallelujah!
