John 14:10 KJV Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
John 5:30 KJV I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.
The source of the superhuman abilities the believer possesses is the presence of God himself in him/her. The one who learns to draw upon this advantage will know the secret of living the life of no impossibilities.
This is what Jesus meant when He proclaimed that, I can of mine own self do nothing. He had learnt the secret of reliance and dependency on the all sufficient one within. He said, ‘the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.’ But that’s exactly how most of us fall short – we trust too much in our own devices and schemes. We are too wise in our own eyes.
The moment the child of God feels they have arrived, they start sinking. That’s when you begin to think you know enough to make your own decisions and choices, and so you don’t even talk to God about them. All disappointments and sorrows have their conception in that thinking.
We must all learn of Jesus and declare like he did,
‘I can of mine own self do nothing. The Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.’ This is the template of living the supernaturally victorious Christian life. Hallelujah. Be blessed Child of God.
