Matthew 6:31‭-‬34 So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’  For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.  But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.  Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

The summarization of the matter is that,

GOD DOESN’T WANT YOU WORRYING AT ALL ABOUT THESE NON-ESSENTIALS.

There are believers who are too preoccupied with their looks and physical appearance. They want that latest dress or else they are not going to church; Without that new Gucci bag, God has failed her. Oh Noooo. Please don’t reduce your value to dresses. Can’t you understand that there are more important things in life than dresses and appearance? So Jesus said, it’s the PAGANS who run after all these things. ARE YOU A PAGAN? THEN WHY DO YOU WANT TO OPERATE YOUR LIFE LIKE ONE? WHY DO YOU RUN TO AND FRO CHASING AFTER ALL THESE MATERIAL THINGS AND DEFINING YOUR LIFE BY THEM?

There is nothing wrong with looking good, but know that Jesus did not die on a GUCCI CROSS; The CROWN of thorns he wore was not DIOR-MADE.

“Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed.” John 6:27

Don’t be carnally minded. Keep your eyes on the ETERNAL PRIZE. SEEK FIRST THE KINGDOM OF GOD AND IT’S ADVANCEMENT and I tell you, everything else is added as bonus.

So anytime you catch yourself fretting and fussing and worrying, just speak to yourself: “MY SOUL RELAX, YOU’VE GOT JESUS – AND JESUS HAS GOT YOUR BACK”. Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
