Proverbs 19:17 He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the Lord; and that which he hath given will he pay him again.
Psalm 112:9 AMPC He has distributed freely [he has given to the poor and needy]; his righteousness (uprightness and right standing with God) endures forever; his horn shall be exalted in honor.
When our Lord said, ‘GIVE AND IT SHALL BE GIVEN UNTO YOU’, he was laying down a powerful law of life. It is not a lottery, or a ‘get rich quick’ scheme. You must have a firm understanding of the law of circulation and replenishing. WHOSOEVER GIVES WILL RECEIVE. It’s a law. And this law works for the good and for the bad. Only that you don’t receive in the same proportion or volume you gave, but multiplied.
Jesus explained,
“Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.” (Luke 6:38, KJV)
You receive an increased doze of whatever you give to others. This is what others call, the law of karma. And it is for this reason that Jesus tells us not to render evil for evil, not even to your enemies. Because whatever you give, you will receive.
So why don’t you set up your life to be a giving center. When there’s opportunity to give to a needy person don’t turn your back. When there is request to give to a worthy cause, don’t say no. Always be eager and enthusiastic about your giving. Don’t listen to the naysayers; give heartily in church and to the work of God. People spend lavishly when they go to their funerals and concerts and games, why not you towards the kingdom of God?
In the eternal words of Jesus Christ, he said,
Give to him who asks you, and from him who wants to borrow from you do not turn away. (Matthew 5:42)
And don’t say, you don’t have enough to give. WHOEVER YOU ARE AND WHATEVER YOU HAVE, YOU CAN ALWAYS GIVE SOMETHING, which is your widow’s mite. Be blessed, Child of God!
GRACEFUL MORNING
