Colossians 3:13 Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5:11‭-‬12‬ ‭[11] “Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake.  [12] Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

Yeah, what’s wrong if you are insulted and you don’t insult back? Will it wipe away your beauty or your honor? What will be the problem if you are defrauded and you let it go because of Christ and because of peace.

The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 6:7,

“Now therefore there is utterly a fault among you, because ye go to law one with another. Why do ye not rather take wrong? why do ye not rather suffer yourselves to be defrauded?”

This is not saying that you should be so soft that anyone takes advantage of you. Rather, the spirit of the letter is that you must be bigger than some petty scrambling and fighting. You must see yourself above it and let it go. When you see some tongue speaking believers fighting with the ‘trotro mate’ over 1 cedi you will be amazed. Because of 1 cedi you will fight and insult and shout on top of your voice. Because of 1 cedi. Oh nooo! You are better than this. You are the King’s kid. You are royalty. And princes and princesses don’t do that.

Don’t forget who you are. For some things are not worth sacrificing your inner peace and inward witness for. By the time you are done with these fightings, you will find that your conscience is wounded and your fellowship with the Holy Spirit marred. Your whole day could be messed up because you won’t let go of 1 cedi, or you won’t forgive a wrong done against you and look the other way.

Jesus said,

Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. Don’t forget that. God bless you. Amen!
