2 Corinthians 4:5 For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake.
1 Peter 5:1,3 The elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed: …Neither as being lords over God’s heritage, but being ensamples to the flock.
The sad reality today is that, MANY INNOCENT BUT IGNORANT BELIEVERS HAVE MADE THEIR PASTORS THEIR LORDS. I say this with a heavy heart and with sincere intention, as a fellow Pastor, to help the Body of Christ.
Many Pastors have wrongly assumed that role of Lord in people’s lives. Truth is, some are sincere and have assumed this role not knowing how to respond to that demand; but others have ulterior motives and seek to dominate the flock of God (these are not Shepherds, they are wolves) and you must beware of them.
All Men Of God must understand that, WE ARE NOT CALLED TO HAVE DOMINION OVER PEOPLE’S FAITH BUT WE ARE CALLED TO SERVE AND BE HELPERS OF THEIR JOY(2Cor 1:24)
Don’t become Lord to your congregation; Even if it’s being conferred on you, don’t accept it. Many times, we see in the Gospels Jesus run away from people who wanted to make him king wrongly. As a Pastor, I have many sons and daughters in the faith, and some of them out of reverence try to place me in a place like that – I have always been afraid of that and shied away from it.
Child of God, YOU HAVE ONE LORD – AND HE IS THE LORD CHRIST.
Man of God, DON’T TAKE THE PLACE OF LORD IN PEOPLE’S LIVES BY YOUR DESIGNATION AND YOUR ACTIONS – THAT SPOT BELONGS TO CHRIST ALONE. Why?
For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake. (2 Corinthians 4:5) Let he who has an ear hear what the Spirit is saying to the churches. Amen!
GRACEFUL MORNING
