Colossians 1:15 The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.

2 Corinthians 4:6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

How did Jesus become the LORD of all? How did He attain such preeminence?

Paul tells us in the passage above in Colossians, that JESUS CHRIST is the EIKON(image) of the invisible God . We cannot see God for He is invisible – so God makes himself seeable to us through Jesus, His exact image.

In the creation story in Genesis, God intended to make man in His image.

“And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness…”- Genesis 1:26

 Then sin happened so man never attained his end product. So God now manifests himself in a form of a man to show creation not only what God is like but to also show man what man was supposed to be like.

In other words,

JESUS IS THE PERFECT AND VISIBLE REPRESENTATION AND MANIFESTATION OF THE INVISIBLE GOD, AS WELL AS, THE PERFECT MANIFESTATION OF MAN.

You will be in blatant error when you classify Jesus as one of the other religious leaders like Krishna, Mohammed, Confucius, or Budha. Jesus Christ is the facsimile of God. He is the face of God shown unto Creation. When you see him, you have seen God. And when you see the true disciple of Christ, you have seen Christ. We are made to express GOD-DEEDS in the realm of men. That’s who we are, Brethren. Hallelujah!
