Christianity is not a religion. There is something that separates it from all the other world religions. All the other world religions, are essentially men’s belief and adherence to a certain set of values. But Christianity is different:

IT IS THE LOVE AND LIFE OF GOD IMPARTED TO OUR SPIRITS SO THAT WE LIVE AS HIM. So Paul wrote, “I am crucified with Christ: NEVERTHELESS I LIVE; YET NOT I, BUT CHRIST LIVETH IN ME: AND THE LIFE WHICH I NOW LIVE IN THE FLESH I LIVE BY THE FAITH OF THE SON OF GOD, who loved me, and gave himself for me.” (Gal 2:20).

So Jesus said, “A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.”- Jn 13:34-35

So you see? Christianity is not an external adherence to a set of rules. It is Jesus thinking through us, acting through us, unveiling himself to the world through us. The love of God has taken centre stage in our hearts and it’s meeting men’s needs with Jesus deeds. It’s amazing. We have become sons and daughters of love. We are the ones doing the deeds, but essentially it’s not us but Christ living in us, and living through us. Isn’t that beautiful? So the song writer says, “Let the world see Jesus in your eyes. Show them love they can’t deny…”. That should be our daily  chorus, for we are sons and daughters of love. Glooooory!

That is why TO WALK IN LOVE IS ACTUALLY TO LIVE IN GOD, FOR GOD IS LOVE. The one who does not love has not yet known God. Many a believers desire to manifest the power of God and perform miracles, but we fail to understand that WHERE LOVE FLOWS MIRACLES FOLLOW; for the realm of love is the realm of God. And God has already put us in that class with Himself. God is a spirit – we are spirit. God is love by nature – the love of God has been shared abroad in our spirit.

‘And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.’ – Romans 5:5

Hallelujah! God is in us. His ability is ours; His Grace is ours; His Love is ours; we have become one with Him. Let’s go out there and show it BY LOVE. Glory to God!

Living the love life is an entirely different thing from what the world practices. If you are a new creation, then you are really in a new realm.

Romans 15:1‭-‬3 says of us, We who are strong ought to bear with the failings of the weak and not to please ourselves. Each of us should please our neighbors for their good, to build them up. For even Christ did not please himself but, as it is written: “The insults of those who insult you have fallen on me.”

I once read a very beautiful poem written by E.W Kenyon on love. As we conclude our exciting journey on understanding love, I want you to carefully read it and enjoy it too:

There is a love that can stand the test of modern life

There is a love that will enable us to love the unlovely and the disagreeable and the hateful

There is a love that will lift us up into God’s class where we love the ungodly and the unworthy

There is a love that will make us just like the master so that we would not only live for men, but also die for them

There is a love that will enable us to love them when they are doing all they can to injure us

There is a love that will whisper, ‘forgive them, for they know not what they do’

Yes, there is a love. If you are a new creation, you have found this new kind of love.
