WHO ARE YOU? Part 7 || You are called SAINT

Now the next thing I want you to know about you is that YOU ARE CALLED A SAINT by God when you got born again.

1 Corinthians 1:1-2
Paul, called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and Sosthenes our brother, Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours
Who a saint is according to the Bible is contrary to popular orthodox belief of saints. We are told that the saints are the ones in heaven and are revered and prayed to. We are told one cannot be a saint unless he/she is canonized by the pope or prominent Bishop. But that is very opposite to who God calls saint.

“Paul and Timotheus, the servants of Jesus Christ, to all the saints in Christ Jesus which are at Philippi” – (Phil 1:1)

EVERYONE THAT HAS RECEIVED JESUS CHRIST BY FAITH IS A SAINT OF GOD. YOU ARE A SAINT NOW, NOT WHEN YOU GO TO HEAVEN, AND NOT WHEN ANY MAN CONFERS IT ON YOU. Praise God, all ye saints.

Take a look at Romans 1:7
“To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called [to be] saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.”
You will find in many places in the scriptures that the believer has another name. He is also called A SAINT. Some translators had difficulty with that so they inserted “to be”. But the right translation is “BELOVED OF GOD, CALLED SAINTS”. It’s your name, so you are called that. What then does it mean to be saint?

Something sainty, means it’s SANCTIFIED. It is HOLY. it’s the same Greek root word for saint that is used for these two. It means set apart for God. In a moral sense it also means pure, and sinless and upright. It means worthy of veneration. Something happened to you, that made you separated, and differentiated you from the world unto God.

Do you realize I am describing you from the perspective of God? All the sainty descriptions above is about you. When God looks at the born again believer, he sees a saint. One will say, what about all the errors and sins I commit, am I still a saint? RELAX BELOVED. YES, YOU ARE GOD’S SAINT. And you will soon understand why.
Big question: HOW DID YOU BECOME A SAINT?
I will tell you from the Word of God:
YOU WERE MADE A SAINT/SANCTIFIED IN THE NAME OF THE LORD JESUS, AND BY THE SPIRIT OF OUR GOD, AND WITH THE BLOOD OF JESUS. (1 Cor 6:9-11)
When you heard the Word of Faith and you believed, the Spirit of God baptized you into the name of our Lord Jesus, making you ONE with the sinless Jesus. Then that same spirit washed you with the blood of Jesus, making you clean and spotless. *YOU CAME OUT OF THAT PROCESS SANCTIFIED AND SINLESS. YOU WHO WAS FULL OF SIN IS NOW A SAINT [PERFECTED IN HIS EYES].

You see, Under the old covenant, all that a man had to do to have his sins taken care of, was to bring a goat. This goat will be examined by the high priest; if it was without blemish, it will be sacrificed and the man’s sins(it didn’t matter how many) will be *covered* for a whole year.
Look at Hebrews 9:13-14,
“For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh: *How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?”
I want you to see the efficacy of Jesus’ sacrifice. He offered ONE SACRIFICE THAT TOOK AWAY SIN FOR EVER. All your sins have been blotted out, including the ones you are yet to do. YOU WERE WASHED LIKE THE WAY YOU WOULD LITERALLY WASH YOUR CLOTHES with soap.
Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood -Rev 1:5b

The cleaning agent here is not omo, but the blood of Jesus. And you came out white as snow. SANCTIFIED and without spot and without any blemish. YOU CAME OUT A SAINT. Glooooory. Wow, give Him praise, Saint ….(insert your name there)
