You are called SAINT 3 II WHO ARE YOU? Part 9

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
HE THAT BELIEVETH ON HIM IS NOT CONDEMNED: BUT HE THAT BELIEVETH NOT IS CONDEMNED ALREADY, BECAUSE HE HATH NOT BELIEVED IN THE NAME OF THE ONLY BEGOTTEN SON OF GOD.

In the old testament, sin separated God and man; but now sin is no longer the dividing line between God and man. Whether you will be condemned or not is not because you sinned, but because you believed or disbelieved in Jesus. For Jesus took care of the issue of sin permanently and legally for all men. YES, FOR ALL MEN.
“For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave himself a ransom FOR ALL, to be testified in due time.” ~ 1 Timothy 2:5-6
Jesus is the only DIVIDING LINE or MEDIATOR or GO-BETWEEN between God and man. Whosoever does not believe on Him is condemned, but whosoever believes shall not perish but have eternal life. Wow!

This is why it’s so critical that we preach the gospel to all men. If you know anyone on the condemnation row, why don’t you present Jesus to them today? You would have done them an eternal good. Hallelujah!

Romans 6:14-16
For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid. Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

Are we saying that because we have been made saints, we are therefore free to continue to sin? NO, THAT’S NOT WHAT WE ARE SAYING AT ALL.
The man that is born of God has his spirit awakened by the Spirit of God and has the righteousness of God impacted to him. The righteousness of God is the RIGHTNESS OF GOD IN YOUR SPIRIT – it tells you what is right with God and what is not. Anytime you do anything not in agreement to God’s rightness in you, no one has to tell you. You will know from within. Your spirit will convict you.
It means you can be a saint, eternally forgiven and yet make yourself a servant of sin if you continually serve sin. In that way, your walk is not in sync with you’re your true life. That’s what the Bible calls an unfruitful servant. And this affects your testimony and rewards (we will come to it later). Whose servant are you? Are you a servant of Righteousness or of Sin? NO DOUBT, WE ARE SERVANTS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS ALL DAY LONG. Glory to God. In explaining this free grace, Jesus asked Peter an important question – let’s read it:

Luke 7:40-42
And Jesus answering said unto him, Simon, I have somewhat to say unto thee. And he saith, Master, say on. There was a certain creditor which had two debtors: the one owed five hundred pence, and the other fifty. And when they had nothing to pay, he frankly forgave them both. Tell me therefore, which of them will love him most?
Peter’s answer to Jesus’ question above was obvious: The one to whom the master had forgiven most will love him the most.

Jesus is saying that, “the more your sins, the more my grace abounds towards you, so that you will see my love and love me back the more.” The religious people will say, we are condoning sin – In fact, the religious Pharisees said the same to Jesus in that passage. But we are not condoning sin, rather we are upholding the love of God and the finished work of Christ for the new man. It’s not the WRATH of God that leads people to repentance. IT’S THE GOODNESS OF GOD THAT LEADS TO REPENTANCE(Rom 2:4). Though your sins are as red as scarlet and as plentiful as the stars, Jesus paid for them all. BELOVED SAINT, YE ARE WASHED. BELIEVE AND ACCEPT HIS FREE GRACE. Dear preacher, tell the sinner about the GOODNESS of God, not His wrath. Hallelujah!
Let’s complete that passage in Luke 7:47-50,
“Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little. And he said unto her, Thy sins are forgiven. And they that sat at meat with him began to say within themselves, Who is this that forgiveth sins also? And he said to the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace.”

The way the Lord thinks is truly amazing. In that city, everyone considered the woman with the alabaster box as the woman with many sins; hence let’s stay away from her. So they said, if Jesus was a prophet, he would have also stayed away from that prostitute.
But Jesus thought differently: “Because her sins are many I would forgive her, and it would make her love me much more. He which is forgiven little loves little because they feel ‘I am not as bad as that prostitute’.” Self righteousness sets in.

This is what Paul meant by, WHERE SIN ABOUNDED/INCREASED, GRACE ABOUNDED/INCREASED MUCH MORE ~(Rom 5:20). It looks almost like the Lord is looking for and expecting people with more sin, so that He would show you more Grace and Love, so that you will be blown away by his love; and feel nothing else but true love for Him. Indeed, It is the GOODNESS OF GOD that leads men to repentance – not His wrath. Throw away your judgemental lenses and give way to the GOSPEL. Glooooory! I AM A SAINT FOREVER.
