As a born again believer, you are not only in Christ but you are also called CHRIST. Your name is now CHRIST. And this is how it happened:
1 John 3:1
“Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.”
By the Holy Spirit, everyone of us who has believed was baptized into ONE BODY. You were organically infused to form the mystical body of Christ the day you believed(1Corinthians 12:12-13). So we are THE BODY OF CHRIST mystically. And Christ Jesus is the head of this body. Now, can you call your head ‘Kofi’ and the rest of your body ‘Kojo’? No, you can’t. In the same way, the entire mystical body of Christ has a name. That name is CHRIST and you have taken on that name. Glory. This was God’s plan all along, that is why there was a prophesy about this in Isaiah, that we shall leave a cursed name behind and be called another name:
And ye shall leave your name for a curse unto my chosen: for the Lord God shall slay thee, and call his servants by another name -(Isaiah 65:15). The Father really meant it when He called as Sons of God or Children of God. We have become members of His new family/household, and we bare his name. Hallelujah!
Ephesians 5:31-32 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.
JUST AS PHYSICAL MARRIAGE RESULTS IN ONE FLESH, THE SPIRITUAL UNION WITH JESUS CHRIST PRODUCES ONE SPIRIT. Through the baptism of regeneration you were united or joined with the Lord Jesus by The Spirit; And now you are in A NEW MATRIMONIAL UNION WITH HIM for as the scriptures have said,
” He who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.”(I Cor 6:17)
Consider the joining that happens when a woman is married to her husband. The two now become one. She leaves behind her father’s name and she now bears the name of her husband. If she was called Priscilla Koomson, she would now be called Mrs Priscilla Tengey. She has put aside her old name and now responds to her new name. This union is a mystery but that is actually what happened between you and Christ. You left your old accursed name behind and you took on His Beautiful Name. Now, THE EXTENT OR SCOPE OF ACCESS AND WEALTH YOU ATTAIN IS CONTINGENT ON THE WEIGHT YOUR NEW NAME CARRIES. If the husband of the new Mrs…. owns several conglomerates and properties, she can walk into any of those places and suddenly she is treated with honor than before because of the name she bears. When people see her, they see her husband in her. There is a ONENESS and IDENTIFICATION which that union brings. THIS IS HOW HE THAT IS JOINED TO THE LORD IS ONE SPIRIT WITH HIM AND BEARS HIS NAME AND HAS ACCESS IN THE REALM OF THE SPIRIT. WHAT DOES THAT MEAN TO YOU? Pause and think about that for a while..
The ONE FLESH IN MARRIAGE IS ACTIVATED THROUGH SEX, which is why in 1 Corinthians 6:15-16 the Bible says,
‘Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and make them members of a harlot? Certainly not! Or do you not know that he who is joined to a harlot is one body with her? For “the two,” He says, “shall become one flesh.”’
Understand this beloved:
Sex is a means of uniting two people into one, in the flesh. It’s not just for pleasure but it’s a synchronization of the two. It’s a kind of baptism that identifies you with the other person, in the same way that the baptism of the spirit identifies you with Christ in the spirit. Many who are ignorant of this, engage in prostitution, multiple sex partners, sex before marriage, etc. They don’t know that they are mysteriously joining themselves to every other person they have sex with. You become One Flesh with them. Their demons become yours and their problems. Yes, their demons. Sex is one way of demon transference. Many people have contracted certain vices and addictions they can’t explain where it came from (sex is one probable means). This shouldn’t be too hard to understand even though it’s a spiritual mystery. If you can contract STIs such as gonorrhoea from someone through sex then this shouldn’t be too far fetched for you. Do not be ignorant of this spiritual truth. ‘know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?’ (1 Cor 6:19).
I pray for you that the Holy Spirit will perform a spiritual surgical operation on you, that every unhealthy soul ties and wrongful spiritual joins with the wrong persons will be cut loose in Jesus name. Receive Strength and Grace to break free from every bondage in Jesus Name. IT’S TURNING POINT FOR YOU. Amen.
Beloved in Christ, you left your old name and have taken on the new name of CHRIST. You are now in a new matrimonial union with Christ for you are ONE SPIRIT WITH HIM. Let this be your consciousness and your experience all day long. Be Blessed!
